Im April bringt der Songwriter Jack Botts seinen Surf Folk nach Aflenz.

Jack Botts teilt sich nicht nur den Vornamen mit dem Surf-Musiker Jack Johnson, seine Songs erinnern auch musikalisch an den US-Amerikaner.

Ohne Zweifel ist Jack Botts einer der aufstrebendsten jungen Künstler aus Australien, in kurzer Zeit hat er es auf 350.000 monatliche Spotifyhörer und knapp 25 Millionen Streams insgesamt gebracht.

Mit «Slow Mornings» hat der Australier im Juni seine dritte EP veröffentlicht. Diese ist geprägt von den Höhen und Tiefen der COVID-Welt und das Führen einer Fernbeziehung in dieser Zeit. Ein Wechselbad der Gefühle in packende Musik verpackt, ist das Ergebnis. Botts fasst es schön zusammen: „Diese EP wird mich immer an ein wirklich hartes Jahr erinnern, aber ich schätze alles, was aus diesen Lektionen entstanden ist“.
